School's out for summer

My wife started this blog and never did anything to look after it, so I'm going to take it over and use it for my own devices. I hopw nobody ever sees it or reads it. I'll just keep it to myself.

School's almost out for the summer. I have 3 days left: one with a little work, one day of compensation which I'll probably spend putting up a clothes line and shoveling dirt at home and one day with meetings and the staff party.

The year was hard, as a year in teaching always is, but the summer will be great. It had better be because next year will be even harder, I think.

We're redoing the backyard right now. The pool's gone, the deck's gone. What I have to get going on is the dirt so we can seed so we can maybe have some grass soon. Then finishing the cement (gotta cut some off and add some on). Then doing a small deck and stairs. Still a lot of work. That'll be my day off (compensation) and Saturday.

I'm looking forward to going to Mom and Dad's next week. It'll be great to see them: I haven't since March break which started at the end of February. It'll also be great to see the kids at day camp. The boys have always loved that a lot. Zoë is going for the first time this year so that will give us some time with Mom and Dad and some time together.

I'm hoping to be able to go to the Montreal guitar show: http://www.salondeguitaredemontreal.ca/fiche_fr.aspx?expId=241 It would be a dream come true. So many wonderful instruments all together to try one after the other and compare. Fun fun fun!!

Well, off to work I go. Hi ho. Hi ho...
